Spell of the Eye

What if you held the power to travel back in time and change the past?  Would you do things differently?  Or would you stay the course?

Written as a homage founded from a deep affection for pop-culture, Spell of the Eye fluidly drives these questions by taking the Reader back to what some would argue was the greatest generation of all-time: The Eighties.  Kross begins the narrative with eleven-year old protagonist, Hogan Hill, being forced into conflict after discovering a wristwatch attached to a severed hand inside the bathroom of a fast food restaurant.

Fascinated with all-things macabre, Hogan takes the wristwatch to a local watch repair shop where he soon realizes it’s not who the watch belongs to but what’s hidden inside the watch that has him in the grip of immediate danger.  Now, with a powerful warlock called The Eye pursuing Hogan for what he possesses, Hogan must find a way to destroy The Eye before his time runs out.

Based on a short story called This Way The Night Whispers, Spell of the Eye may be Kross’s most compelling and forceful story to date.
